Schedule of Water Rates

Effective January 1, 2010

This schedule supersedes all previous schedules issued.

Monthly Service Charge:

Each user shall pay a monthly service charge in accordance with the following applicable size of meter installed.

Volume Charge:

In addition to the monthly service charge set forth above, each Residential, Commercial and Industrial user will pay a monthly usage charge according to the following schedule:

Fire Protection Service Surcharge:

In addition to the monthly service charge and volume charge, there is a monthly surcharge for fire protection assessed without regard to water usage based on the meter size and location of customer in or outside City Limits.

Private Fire Protection connections, each:

Connection Charge:

Each user at the time he is connected with the waterworks system shall pay a charge to cover the costs of excavating and tapping the main; furnishing and installing service pipe from the main to the lot line; furnishing and installing saddle and stop box and furnishing the meter. The charge for a 3/4 inch meter shall be $700.00. The charge for the 1 inch meter shall be $760.00. The charge for a tap larger than the 1 inch meter shall be the actual cost of labor, materials, power machinery, transportation, and overhead incurred for installing the tap, but shall not be less than the charge for a 1 inch meter.

Collection of Deferred Payment Charge:

All bills for water service not paid before the due date as stated on such bills shall be subject to the collection or deferred payment charge of 10 percent of that part of the delinquent amount which does not exceed $3.00 plus 3 percent of any delinquent amount in excess of $3.00.
