The Department of Parks & Recreation has shelter houses for the public to rent and reserve. The shelters are available from April 1st through October 31st of each year. The shelter rentals are available at Wesselman Park, Mesker Park and Garvin Park. The shelters at Wesselman Park and Mesker are open-air facilities and have running water and restroom facilities. Garvin Park Shelter is open air, but doesn't have running water. Individuals interested in renting a shelter may contact the:

Wesselman 2 North or South $70.00 plus 7%sales tax
Mesker 3 $70.00 plus 7% sales tax
Mesker 15 or 17 $80.00 plus 7% sales tax
Garvin Park $55.00 plus 7% sales tax
A $30.00 deposit is required to pick up a key, prior to the date of the rental.
The Howell Park Shelter House may be rented for special events. The Howell Booster Club manages and leases the shelter house year-round. Please contact the Howell Booster Club representative -Jerry and Joyce Gardner at 303-8201.
