The City of Evansville was allocated $795,964 in Community Development Block Grant Recovery (CDBG-R) funds by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act), which President Obama signed into law on February 17, 2009. The City of Evansville has developed a proposed significant amendment to the City of Evansville’s 2008 Consolidated Annual Action Plan to include funds allocated through Community Development Block Grant Recovery (CDBG-R) funds. As described in much greater detail in the amendment, the City intends to distribute CDBG-R funds as follows:
Public Facility Improvement: $65,691
Public Service - Equipment: $34,309
Neighborhood Pride Infrastructure: $495,964
Neighborhood Pride Green Initiatives: $200,000
Written comments regarding the proposed significant amendment should be received by the Department of Metropolitan Development by 12:00 p.m. CST on Monday, May 12, 2010.
