| DUTIES: |
Supervises the personnel and operations of the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Responsible for maintaining and operating the wastewater plant in compliance with local, state, and federal laws. Prepares annual wastewater treatment plant budget. Reviews lab analyses of plant discharge and prepares and analyzes monthly and annual state and federal discharge and environmental compliance reports. Works with the community to ensure good communication and education of the public with regard to environmental concerns. Reviews invoices and insures work on site is performed prior to payment on Utility contracts. Assists in the development and training of plant operators. Perform other related duties as assigned.

| QUALIFICATIONS: |
Bachelor of Science degree with a major in civil, environmental, or sanitation engineering or equivalent is required. Three to Five years experience in wastewater treatment and operational and maintenance experience, including 2 years management experience and a Grade IV Wastewater Treatment Operator’s License as issued by the State of Indiana is preferred. Thorough knowledge of local, state, federal laws and regulations pertaining to wastewater treatment and discharge compliance. Incumbent should possess specialized knowledge of wastewater treatment plant operation and mechanical maintenance principles and practices. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
