The Auditor literally keeps the books for county government. It is the Auditor's goal that this information be timely, accurate, and easily accessible to the public.

Spring Tax Deadline was May 10, 2013. 2012 pay 2013 tax information is available on the Treasurer's website. Click here to go to the Treasurer's website to view the database for the 2012 taxes payable in 2013. Previous year's taxes will show at the bottom. The Fall tax deadline is November 12, 2013.
2012 pay 2013 PropertyTax Rates Click on the link to view the 2012 pay 2013 property tax rates that were published in the Courier and Press on March 22 and 29, 2013 and April 5, 2013.
2012 pay 2013 Tax Deductions The property tax exemption deadline was January 7, 2013. To be eligible for these deductions in 2013, persons must be the owner of their primary residence as of December 31, 2012. Click here for additional information regarding property tax exemptions.
Employee Self Service for Vanderburgh County Employees Effective October 1, 2012, Vanderburgh County went live with the MUNIS payroll system. 2013 Approved Budget for Vanderburgh County is now available for viewing. Click here to view.
Homestead Verification Form was first mailed out with the 2009 pay 2010 tax bills. If the form was not returned that year or last year, then another form was mailed out with the 2011 pay 2012 tax bills. Due to changes made through legislation, the State of Indiana is requiring all County Auditors to compile specific information on all homestead properties. A pink Homestead Verification Form was mailed out with the tax bills. This form should be filled out by all property owners and mailed to the address below:

If you have misplaced the form mailed to you, please click here to print out a form. Failure to complete and send in this form may result in loss of your homestead deduction.
